  Only found this place the other day, and I can't wait to go back! After meeting up with a friend in Thorndon Park for a 'Doggie play date' we called and they reserved a table for 3 adults and 3 dogs, offered dog treats and water and I had the best sausage and mash I've ever eaten! They even managed to cater for my vegan parter, including a dessert! Will be back the first excuse I get!

  Very relaxing - and WARM! This pub used to renowned for being cold - but that problem has more than been solved. Delicious selection - opted for the Baked Lasagna which was one of the best we've tasted. Only complaint was that the accompanying salad was a teaspoon size of shredded mixed cabbage. HOWEVER - our 'waiter' was superb, quickly providing a fresh 'proper' side salad. He was overall very attentive and extremely customer focussed. Would have given 5 stars save for the misleading menu regarding that salad - as a reasonably sized dressed or side salad is lovely with Lasagna and finishes it all off. Over-all very impressed.
